Opening the padlock with the TSA system is possible by entering a confidential cipher and using a special key, which is available to customs. After inspection, the padlock is closed again without any damage!

Current scanning systems are already very advanced and can detect dangerous or prohibited objects and materials without opening luggage. Sometimes, however, customs services wanting to make sure what exactly is inside the suitcase / bag – open it. The TSA system allows the customs officer to open a secured suitcase without damaging it.
